The Ericsson company joined the Non-commercial partnership "Telecommunications Forum" early in October, 1995. The company participation in the activities of this international organization is of fundamental importance for us, because Ericsson has always aimed to maximally contribute to the development of the telecommunications industry and information society in the Russian Federation.
. Having become a member of Telecommunications Forum, we obtained an opportunity to communicate informally with both executives of companies working on the telecommunications market of Russia and top officials of the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications of the Russian Federation.
Problems discussed within the framework of Telecommunications Forum club are traditionally topical for the industry, whereas the form of discussions promotes strategic partnership between market players. Over the years of its existence Telecommunications Forum has proved itself a club uniting industry professionals and largely facilitating the achievement of high indicators demonstrated by the telecommunications industry of Russia today. The list of the Telecommunications Forum club days' topics for the last decade might provide a vivid illustration of the telecommunications development stages in Russia.
The active participation of our company in Telecommunications Forum work, involving reports and presentations dedicated to Ericsson's approaches to the development of advanced telecom facilities, has become one of the factors ensuring our company's success on the Russian market and has contributed to the progress of strategic partnership with leading telecom operators.
